Thank you Debbie! I've always been fascinated by the family paper/photo trail, so to speak...

I wonder about the digitization of everything, too. Once digital cameras (and then phones) became the norm, we stopped transferring our family photos to paper — we tease my mom because she still loves making us take pictures together, even though we haven't seen the end result in a decade or so.

Photos have always helped me remember or contextualize parts of my life I don't think I'd otherwise remember firsthand (for instance, I doubt I would remember how often my sister and I wore matching outfits back then, were that not heavily featured in the photos...). But I think I'd remember things differently if infinite retakes and edits were a possibility growing up. It's interesting to think about.
